Static Mechanical Engineer

As Static Mechanical Engineer you have depth knowledge of static equipment and will be working for various projects within KCI’s Oil & Gas market segment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Preparation insulation and coating specifications
  • Preparation of the data sheet, specifications, requisitions and VDRL
  • Evaluation of the vendor quotations based on the project requirements and applicable design codes and prepare the TBE (Technical Bid Evaluation) sheet
  • Review the vendor documents and comment on them
  • Providing other disciplines with the mechanical input as required
  • Consult with other engineering departments as necessary
  • Report the progress to the project manager


  • Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering;
  • 5+ years working experience in static mechanical discipline preferably in the oil and gas industry
  • 3+ years working experience in similar position;
  • English (written and verbal), preferably Dutch as well.
  • Competences: critical thinking, focus on quality, problem analyses, result-orientedness;
  • High level knowledge of the following equipment: pressure vessels and separators, storage tanks, air coolers, heat exchangers, filters, furnace and packages like fuel gas package etc.
  • Experience with PVElite and Microsoft Office package is a must;
  • Knowledge to review WPS and PQR is a must;
  • Familiar with Vessel design code EN 13445 , Welding Code EN ISO 15614, AWS D1.1
